  • Play without CD in CDROM

How can we play without having to have the CD in the computer all the time?
I read to the effect that I could delete one file, after it had been installed, and then unpack that file to the same directory, and that would remove the protection.

Is that right? Does anybody know how to do it?

Under the rules of this forum, we can't encourage bypassing copyright protection.

The 2000/XP compat patch removes safedisc from AC only.

You could emulate your entire disc on your hard drive.

How do you emulate? By backing up a CD to a HDD?

For instance Magic Disc can create an emulation file. Note that it cannot bypass copy protection, but that's mostly not an issue with old games.
