The Polls is where votes are cast in the Alpha Centauri Democracy Game 6 ("ACDG6"). Demo players may post in this thread.
The characteristic that distinguishes a democracy game from a single player game or a multiplayer game is that important decisions are determined by majority vote.
Important decisions include declaring vendetta, truce, treaty or pact; changing social engineering society models; overall tech research; and authorizing secret projects.
Anyone may propose a vote. It helps if the proposal covers something that will repeat many times. E.g. in ACDG5, we followed a "claws and fangs" strategy proposed by Bodissey. We always chose a tech that would increase our offensive capabilities.

By keeping votes here and discussion in The Genesis Project thread, the will of the majority is easier to determine.
The first issue is:
Should we research centauri ecology followed by the exowomb?
In favor of centauri ecology: Maniac, vyeh
In favor of the exowomb: Hydro
In favor of centauri ecology as the first or second choice: Mart
The second issue is:
Should we establish a base immediately with one of the colony pods?
In favor of establishing a base at the landing site: Mark123jansen, vyeh
In favor of moving a colony pod 1 sq. NE and establishing a base on a flat square: Mart
Unless there is significantly more discussion or other options are proposed, I suggest that the polls for both of these issues close in 24 hours and we advance one year.
