Can you buy AC online and download it?

Im british, but stuck in canada for a bit without my copy of AC. I went to buy it in a gameshop but I was told to download it as they did not stock it anymore. Unless he was expecting me to download it illegally, I havent been able to find a way of downloading it and paying for it. Im sure it was a sold-out game, so I was wondering if anyone could post me a link on here so I can download it? I promise to let you beat me on multi if you do

I noticed that on Amazon, someone is selling a used copy for $5.95 at the time of this posting. Shipping to Canada would be $6.89.

It is only a disc, but that is all you need.

I'm assuming you use Windows.

My original CD got badly damaged when I moved out of my parents house, sadly. So I haven't been able to play SMAX (my SMAX expansion cd copy is in perfect shape) since.

Anyone know of any store online or something? I'm getting really desperate here

If you still have SMAC on your system, you only need the SMAX cd to play.

If you need to reload SMAC, there are sellers of SMAC cd on Amazon (U.S.) for as low as $5.90 and $4.99 today. International shipping for CD's is $6.89.

I'm assuming you have Windows. Let me know if you have a Mac.

My SMAX copy was installed in my parents PC; now that I live by myself I've bought a new computer, so alas...I don't have SMAC in my system.

I'll have a look at amazon. I hope they sell the manual too, it was great.

As a matter of fact, you can buy the manual at Amazon for $6.99 plus shipping (you need to check whether that seller ships internationally) or $8.00 plus $12.49 shipping.

Someone is selling "DISK AND BOOK ONLY" at Amazon (US) for $2.69. You should make sure the "BOOK" is the 250 page manual and not the installation instructions.

Be sure to ask about shipping. That book will cost to ship!

If you are having trouble buying the manual and want a second-rate reference work, you might consider buying the Prima Strategy Guide at Amazon for $0.48 plus $12.49.

You might also try googling "Alpha Centauri manual." This reveals a nice online guide at Gamespot. There might be other results interesting to you in that google search.

If you are considering spending money on the manual, I'd like to recommend Vel's SMAX Guide, Version 4.0. Although an earlier version is available at Apolyton, version 4.0 is worth buying.

Even if I wasnt (which I am) interested that much, I must admire your quick (and helpful) answers.
I'll check it this weekend; I've recently ordered some Peter F. Hamilton's books from Amazon.uk and I'm going to have a look there too.

Oh, and Vel's guide is just delightful. I'm considering getting the guide and the manual. It was just so fantastic, with all that data, even planetary atmosphere stats and the sort...

There is someone selling the disc and manual for 9.25 pounds at Amazon.uk. You'll have to ask the seller whether he ships to Spain.
