Algorithmic Enhancement question...

There's a Special Project, the Nethack Terminus I believe, that gives all probe teams with level 2 or better reactors the equivilient of the "Algorithmic Enhancement" ability. My question is, if you build this, does it stack with the *actual* ability, or is it just redundent? If it doesn't stack, I'd rather just take it off of my probe teams now and reduce their cost, but I have no way to tell.

It's redundant.
iirc, a similar situation exists when you complete The Maritime Control Center: Radar is then free on all your ships, so you don't need to design it onto them.

Sorry for the Necro, but can anyone confirm that the Maritime Control Center does indeed give a free radar promotion to all naval units? I could not recreate this effect playing SMACX v2.0

It is true about The Nethack Terminus:

I cannot find anything to backup my recollection of The Maritime Control Center giving radar to ships. I must be wrong.

Yeah, all you get from MCC is free Naval Yards and +2 sea movement. You MAY have somehow confused the innate Pirate ability to a) have Naval Yards in every base and b) Have the Marine Detachment ability for all ships free.
