Switching PBEM to IP?

I remember when the game first came out some of us would IP the first 50 turns or so in an hour or two, then switch to a more leisurely PBEM style

Thanks. I knew that. I was interested to know if I can start as IP game, switch to PBEM, revert to IP, and so on ... This way I can play IP on weekends and PBEM the rest of the week

While waiting for others to turn up a week or so ago, to play a new IP game, Smacxveteran loaded up the Pbem game he and I were playing and we continued as IP.

So afaik, the answer is yes.
