Question about popping Unity pods

Can someone provide me with a link to threads about the probability of popping Unity pods?

I'm interested in the possible results and probabilities when the pod is within 2 tiles of a base and when the pod is outside the base radius.

I don't know where to find that.

All I remember is that if you pop a pod that is not adjacent to one of your bases your chances of good things happening drop.

We could wait until we build bases next to the pods before we pop them. Or at the least wait until we have military units nearby that can profit from any MWs.
