Idea for a Secret project

I had this idea while playing AC. What if instead of the entireity of humanity acending what if the faction leader only acended and became the dominant "mind" of planet? Then in a sense the faction leader would become a God and the entire planet would be his/her tool to use for what ever purpose.

The $NAME1self now drives all of Your long and short range planning, and is the principal force behind the encapsulation project.

The faction leader already does become the dominant part of the planet's personality when the humanity ascends. If humanity doesn't ascend it would be wiped out.
