What sort of annoys me in Alpha Centauri (until X arrives in a few days i have only experienced original) is that despite crash landing on planet without contacts with other factions you cqan see their progress whos topping areas of interest such as tech or military etc. Wouldn't it be far more interesting and fun to gain this information bit by bit so that you build up the data? Say for example you have to infiltrate a factions data links first before you get their data but you have to infiltrate ALL the factions to get ALL the data, or if one faction you infiltrate has infiltrated another you get their data. Can we do this with the original coding or is it off the cards. It would be so much more fun and in line with the story.
