Is it possible to save and continue a network game?

i started a network game (TCP/IP - Mode) with a friend. At some time we wanted to take a break and i saved the game.

Is it possible to continue this game with my friend?

Later I loaded the savegame, but we were not possible to connect a second player.

It is absolutely possible. I often do it. You can continue it as a hotseat or a TCP/IP. Make sure the host is the player who saves the game.

And how do i continue the game?

I was host and saved the game.
Later on i loaded the save game again and we tried to connect the second player via "multiplayer --> internet TCP/IP --> join"

And we always got the message "Could not find game"

Any more hints?

I know you can save it, but everytime I have its turned into a pbem game
