That is the Civ2 method, and I believe it is the SMAC method.(\__/) Save a bunny, eat more Smurf!

That sounds rightOriginally posted by Leon Trotsky
Would that be that the home base is the closest one, and if the player doesn't own it, the unit is independent? You don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

I experienced that a bit in one of Darsnan's scenariosOriginally posted by Sikander
Btw, if you attack a loaded transport ship with a ship that has the marine detachment you do capture the units on board.
. He gave the AI some pre-designed ships with that ability. It made for some early captures IIRC

Even worse, the Marine Detachment ability works against units inside a base. However, the base is not automatically captured - the attacker has to take every unit away, and then occupy it. Should he attempt to move another unit onto the base, a combat occurs between his units.Originally posted by Sikander

Just when I think I'm done asking, a couple more questions crop up. Here's my latest. In playing Yang, I've noticed that when I capture a base in the early game, a perimeter defense always springs up. Later, when I capture a base, a PD usually springs up, but not always. What governs this? As always, thanks in advance for the information.

Since you bumped a thread that's three years old (!), it's not clear what you're trying to do. However, I'm going to assume that you're using Vista, in which case you've run into a known problem. Use runas to run notepad as the Administrator account (even if you're logged in as the admin). You now should be able to save your changes.Originally posted by smb12321 View PostI opened the ini file in Notepad, made the change (0 to 1) but when I tried to save it, I keep getting the msg "Cannot create file, name /pathway wrong" I made sure I was saving the ini (vs text) How do I save the changes?
