  • A question about the b-drone

so the in game help says for each city you build after exceeding the limit you`ll get one drone somewhere in your empire ,but what does the 2nd warning mean? from this point every new city will bring 2 drones somewhere?

It depends. If you don't care about the problem, you get trouble. If you care, that is building infrastructure that reduces drones (incl SP's), the warning doesn't matter.

I was reading vel`s guide and it says one way to expand in early game is to build cities until you reach the 1st b-drone limit then stop and build infrastructure
then expand before the 2nd warning and so on

if the warning doesnt matter then why stop before the 2nd warning ?

Well, I must admit that I have some bad habits - started playing the game back in 2001 and kept on on my own until 2004 where I dropped into this hellhole

In the start I actually didn't know what those red heads meant , even nerve stapled the to get rid of them, but there are plenty of tools to avoid them.

What Vel's guide tells is what you do without considering drones - that is quite nice , but if you want to expand beyound this limit you have to consider infrastructure.

SP's such as HGP and the holgram thingie are quite essential.

B drones will show up in a predictable pattern which sone one posted here at one time. B drones appear in bases according to the order of their founding IIRC so that when you build your seventh base (if the limit is 6), a B drone will appear in the base you founded 2nd.

Once you know where they will show up, you can plan to deal with them. There are a multitude of methods.

Nothing is essential and good players should learn to do without their SP crutches since in MP you won't get all the projects like you want.

If you expand horizontally, a rec commons may be all you need in each base for quite some time. If your bases are getting larger, you will need to consider using specialists and perhaps crawling resources.

Other factions/players use police more ( Hive is the best example) and others use a psych allocation . . .

well I know how to deal with the drones
i just want to know what does the 2nd warning,3rd warning do exactly,if it still only bring one drone to the empire then there is really no point to stop expanding once get past the 1st b-drone limit until running out of space

                Dot,

Your original post was correct: Each time that you get another bureaucracy warning, the number of b-drones increases by one.

So let`s say on a huge map where the base limit is 9,so for each base from number 10-18 you will get one extra done somewhere in the empire and for each base from number 19-27 there will be two extra dones and so on? Is this correct?

edit:seems this question is answered in the link given
                  thanks
