I was just remembering the old days when I was an avid Civ2 player and then the arrival of SMAC! In those days I didn't have much of a gaming budget and so I played the SMAC demo to death as soon as got my hands on it. Those glorious 100 years of gameplay were heaven on earth (or Chiron). I never came close winning and often didn't even survive the full 100 years. I've sure learned a lot since then. Sadly, the demo inhabited a hard drive from several computers ago and I no longer have a copy handy to play. Easy enough to download again I guess but I haven't gotten around to it. So, I was wondering....does anyone here still play the demo? Has anyone ever beaten the demo? Is anyone up for a "beat the demo" challenge?
