    Its too bad you can't do it no matter where the unit is-- it would make rehoming units to a PS base easier

    Same idea when you have mag tubes-- its tedious to have to move crawlers to rehome them--

        You could even have it that worked tiles go to a base but all crawled resourcse can be attributed to any base you choose. It wouldn't even be that hard to do-- a crawled resources screen where you could see aggregate crawlering and attribute it to bases

          Yes, but hopefully the team (if it comes around to creating this mod) sees the benefits of less micromanaging in it, instead of the purest copy possible.

            Can you imagine just how easy to abuse that would be though? Especially when many of us routinely have 100+ crawlers active at a time?

              The current thought on this matter is that it is best to create the purest copy possible and then leave it to you to create a plugin that could be turned on in the same way as "Unity Survey Available)". Frankly, everyone has their own idea on whats best for SMAC, especially me and there won't be time to make everyone happy.

              Edit: The exception I think would be a better interface. Perhaps we can create a crawler management screen. A better way to convert citizens to Librarians/Thinkers would be nice as well.

                I do think creating a faithful reproduction of SMAC via the Civ 4 modding would reach the widest audience. We all know the shortcomings of SMAC, and of course, we still play despite those same shortcomings.
