  • Problems with setting up TCP/IP games

Hi there. Seems I can't get a TCP/IP game to work, even on LAN. I can find a hosted game, but then the game stalls when i try to join it. IPX works fine. Any suggtestions? I hope that if i find the problem, i might be able to play over the internet aswell

Could it be a NAT problem, seeing that SMAX is so old? The problem is there with or without Firewall.

SMAC/X uses DirectPlay, so you can probably find help on Microsoft's site. I think you need to set your router to allow a range of ports through unmolested.

hmm..problem is that even with firewall disabled and on a lan, i can't connect. Well since noone has jumped in with the "ahh thats a common problem" explanation, im gonna assume its my configuration that needs a fix.
