Limit on Statistics Capable of Modification?

I've read from the ACedit v. 1 that there are only limited space for statistics you're able to modify- so I can't make factions that have six or seven attributes at once (modified planet, research, support, efficiency, morale, economy, all at once). Is that true? If it is, then it sucks.

Argh. Is there a way to bypass that? All of the social effects (planet, industry, research etc.) are all included in that 8!

I really hope they allow for more tweaking in SMAC 2. I take it for granted that it'll come out... eventually.

Why do you want so many abilities, anyway? Take a look at the standard 14 factions. None of them have a total of more than 6 points of SOCIAL modifications, and they have just a few abilities beyond that. No faction should have modifications to every SE category - it's excessive.
