    Well, I haven't seen these topics before, let's talk about them for the first time...

    1) How many people use free market?

    2) When do you usually finish your first secret project?

    3) Does anyone have any weird screenshots?

      Ah, how nice. My compatibility issue is not 2k/XP, it is CPU not supported... How nice.

      I just got my game back, by the way.

      So, how do I get around a "not supported" CPU problem.

      Intel P4 i850 2.66GHz 400/533 Bus

      Is it possible to update the instruction set of a processor? Updating the windows drive for the processor got me no where.

        Just click ignore re CPU not supported afaik.

        But I agree with you, this compatibility problem should be addressed with a definitive sticky thread.

          Edit your Alpha Centauri.ini file as follows:

          If the line

          ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=0

          is present, change the 0 to a 1.

          If the line isn't present, add it (ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=1)

          under the [Preferences] section. You'll still get the error message, but click through it and the game should run.

            I looked at the FAQ thread again and it is not immediately obvious how to fix this increasingly common problem.
