      I think this guys' problem lies deeper than improper installation.
      If it calls for CTP CD each time you insert a CD or at least a game CD, you should reinstall your OS (which is Windows I guess).

          Maybe it is the thingy in the alpha.ini

          Look in your alpha.ini file for a line that looks like
          forceoldvoxelalgorithm = 1
          (I don't know if I spelled it correctly, but it says something similar). If the number is 0 change it to 1 and if it is 1 change it to 0 (I really don't know the procedure, just that you have to change that particular line)

          For me it worked, I can play AC now on my XP machine.
