Of all the rules and laws of life Jesus laid down, he didn't think to mention what should and shouldn't be put in a "Bible" or such...
The Catholic Church decided on what should and shouldn't be in the Bible, not God, not Jesus, not even the Disciples...I'm not a very religous type, but even so, I still believe that, assuming they or it exists, divine powers, not man, should determine what rules to cut and what rules to keep...if you think the Catholic Church did a good job making the bible, read through the whole work and count how many stories have been reconstructed accurately by archealogy and science...funny, the Church's version and the scientific version don't match...
They say that reading the Bible brings you closer to God...it only pushed me farther away...after all, its hard to take any God seriously when his "holy book" contains chapters on kids getting their fathers drunk and impregnating themselves while people live 900 years way back when giants still walked the earth...and yes, all this does happen in the bible, its just not in any of those verses the church tells you to read...
Ask you self this...who wrote the first book of the Bible? Not God, not Jesus, not someone who lived back then...nope, it was the church, and I wonder just how they happened to know all that was going on thousands of years ago...
