      One of my favorite things to do is to rename captured bases before I turn them over to their original owner or whichever AI pet needs them. I just mess up the old name usually, like:

      Godwin's Hope ==> Godwin's Hopeless etc.

        I just couldn't.

        Kurt left a bad taste in my mouth....

        Though despite my opposition to a Morganite philosophy in the real world, it's always fun naming Morgan bases- 'KeynesTown', 'Friedman Heights', 'Ricardo Flats' et cetera.

        I like Santiago's bases too- usually I run through famous conflicts, warriors, types of weapon, and so on.
        Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.

        ...patriotism is not enough. I must have no hatred or bitterness towards anyone. Edith Cavell, 1915

          Or take a base behind an enemy's front line forces and rename it "Look behind you" or " Former Capital of Sparta"

          Probably more fun to do this in a PBEM where someone else can see your wit.

          I liked actually using landmarks to make comments to opponents. In one case when I detected a probeship of a treatied party, I put our a landmark on the ocean with an arrow to my nearest base and the phrase "Tourist destination" . ..
