Trouble with my game...

I recently attempted too install turbo smac into my game i went as far as changing the file name and then i got an error saying that the file already existed. So then i tried to load the game and it took me to the Firaxis sign thingy when you first turn on the game then it sent me back to my desk top, i was wondering if someone could help me out im not that good with pcs .

Also i've already tried reinstalling the game and that wont either it was working fine earlier so i think i messed up something
