  • Forest mega-energy bug?

I was playing as the gaians on librarian, good planet/efficiency ratings going w/ a huge empire. Suddenly most of my squares start producing 8+ energy. Mostly the forests in bases where I have hybrid forests. Anywhoo, is this a bug or did I inadvertantly do something really cool? If it is a bug as I suspect, has anyone else encountered it?

You got solar flares random event, which doubles all energy output for a single turn, iirc.

No Solar Flares popup? Random event.
Is only for one turn though.

It's also triple energy, rather than double. IIRC, it also destroys all orbital power transmitters and defense pods, if any exist.

To take advantage of it, harvest as much energy as you can. Take crawlers off minerals and put them on energy for one turn. Go free market of you can.

That would be impossible as the Gaians, I think (which he is)...

I think it is more of a general advice to all.
