          Folks

We do have a bit too much chatting and such, I was wondering, I am looking for some Forest pictures, maybe from Bavaria or other European regions.

          How about rustic seaports?

          Norway?

          England?

          Ireland?

          North Atlantic?

I grew up in Maine, in 60's in Potato country near Quebec, some Forests, and in 70's near coastal region, I loved the rocky coast.

What say we try to put some nice scenery up and kind of refocu on the inmtent of this thread?

I do appreciate all who have/are/will participate

Im not sure what Baruk Khazad is , but if they speak Judeo-Dwarvish, that would be "blessed are the dwarves" - lord of the mark

Just curious, how old is your town pictured?

I ask, because some towns in WW II were obliterated.

Especially during the great debacle known as Operation Market Garden

                • Market Garden didn't involve Denmark IIRC.

                    • The Netherlands are to the West of Germany. Denmark is to the North.

                        Now I am so informed.

So after reading your comment, I went to researching and saw what appears to be a jutland and an Island or two which form Denmark.

Interesting, the history of WWII in regards to occupation of German forces.

                        Thanks again

                          Approx 360 kilometers.

And Market Garden was meant to facilitate the allied crossing of the Rhine following the german defeat in Normandie. But alas it failed since the bridge at Arnhem wasn't captured...

                          • This is from Denmark, what is this "Hillerod?"
                            It looks like a Chateau.

                            It could be a resort

                            maybe a Hotel?

                            How old is it?

                            • It looks like the Fredriksborg palace (situated in the town of Hilleröd) . It was built in 1560 by king Frederick II. Most of the current palace, however, was built from 1602 to 1620 by Christian IV.
