Two pictures from my last trip.

First, everybody in one place. As you can see, I am no good at posing for pictures (I am in the middle on the top).

You wouldn't be referring to the unnamed bottle that has the label "Kaluha" on the front of it, would you?

I was wondering... What does that black, unnamed bottle in the background hold?

I never heard of that one, you learn something every day

The stone tower looks a bit out of place next to the wooden church though (well, I guess one can argue it's the church that's out of place )

I have been told there are a stave church somewhere in the US. Not sure about the details but it was supposedly built in norway and sold to the americans. For the money, an exact copy was built in norway, it may have been the other way around btw

@Gangerolf, not often I see someone using the sami flag. Is it for "real"?

Can't believe I never heard about it. I've even been to Lower Silesia. I did see another wooden church there though , a huge one, in Świdnica.

This one is built of pine wood and construction begun in the late 1100s. It is still in daily use. They were taring the outside when I visited.
There is one medieval Norvegian wooden church in Poland, Lower Silesia to be exact. It's called church Wang. It's the only church in this style outside Norway, one of 27 remaining in entire world. It was build about 1180 in Vang, Vangsmjösa province. 1841 it was sold by the village to Frederick Wilhelm IV of Prussia, and originally was supposed to be located in Berlin, but 1842 it was brought to Karpacz in Sudety mountains and stayed there. It remained lutheran church after the war.
