In June of 2010, podcaster Daniel J. Lewis worked to redefine "pod" in podcasting, originally so-coined to describe web syndicated programs popularized through the iPod. While PolyCast (PC) is nearing the conclusion of its fifth season, it was its first where episodes were originally broadcast live. While topics, questions and comments are being sought for its annual Christmas Special recording live on December 10th, regular co-hosts Daniel "DanQ" Quick, "Makahlua", Philip "TheMeInTeam" Bellew and Lisa "qnl" Bang are also looking for input from the show's audience on the measures characterized by Lewis re: 'Passion', 'Organization' and 'Dialog'.
In the first of three polls on this subject, the PC crew is looking to gauge from its audience its 'Passion': "being excited about what you have to say". Use both the rating scale provided in the poll to provide quantitative data, and the ability to reply to this thread for qualitative data. The poll will close after 30 days' time, but the thread itself will continue on.
Recording live before a listening audience every other Saturday, PolyCast is a bi-weekly audio production in an ongoing effort to give the Civ community an interactive voice on game strategy; audience members are also encouraged to rate the show on iTunes. Sibling show RevCast focuses on Civilization: Revolution, ModCast on Civ modding and TurnCast on Civ multiplay.
