When I tried to load apolyton.net this morning, I was taken to a page (apparently provided by godaddy.com) that said the registration for apolyton.net had expired or was being updated. I finally got in by deleting my DNS cache. A few hours later the same thing happened, which I again fixed the same way. Some, but not all, WePlayCiv members report the same problem. Is something going on?

I get, and still do, the same thing on my PC. I can access OK from my wife's PC. Another Poly member says he is getting in OK.
I exchanged messages with someone who knows more about these things than me.
He says the domain name did expire, and that it will take time to "propagate" across the internet. He said it looked like an oversight on the domain name renewal.

The domain was expired indeed (and so was apolyton.com).
It was not on the public market yet, so I could just renew it.Formerly known as "CyberShy"

good thing it wasn't public yet, i can tell you from experience it's not fun trying to get it back from domain shark.
they're usually 17 year old kids that live with their parents and pretend they're important by having a fax. a visit from a lawyer at the parents' doorstep is usually enough to get them cooperative.Comment
