  • (Slightly) modified site logo

I posted the logo in another thread, but I so like it that I think it deserves a thread of its own.

In my view there are two problems with the Apolyton site logo, with triangle that depicts A:
    1) It is done in different style than the rest of the name, it creates dissonance and as such is not aesthetically pleasant,
    2) It is not easily recognized letter A. In fact for some it is more recognized as Greek delta. I know that there are not a lot of such people, but for those who does see such way (I am unfortunately one of those), the name reads Dpolyton, which is ugly.

So here is a suggestion of how both problem can be fixed by slight modification of the logo:

What do you think? Am I alone who thinks that this minor modification makes A to be more pleasant, more inline with the rest of the font, and more readable as A?

Sharp eye you've got there MxM! I like what you did to our logo.

The creative rational behind the delta was actually that it's not a delta, but a piramid. We've concepted our "brand" around world wonders. The fact that it's also a delta offers a nice reference to our greek origin.

However, I do agree it reads better and it is more recognizable as an A. I will discuss this with the guys as I am inclined to use your suggestion and modify the logo.

Thanks for taking an interest mate!

That´s some very good and constructive contribution MxM!

I really like it and as Rutger (the logo´s designer) said, we´ll definitely discuss it.

            Thanks a lot mate

Give us a second or two - we are swamped in a thousand things right now, going on in the background, some which soon will be visible to everyone, some which needs to be done, but will never manifest in a to the public visible form.

                    We're going to use it!
We think it's an improvement for all reasons you gave.
Rutger is now working on it, but I guess that b/c of the '2 seconds' it's time to push him a tad bit

Do you mean the favicon? Well, that's still a triangle, although I made a left sided open one.
