      Congratulations and thanks.

As some people say backgrounds images are very aggressive. I think is better if we could turn it off.
Extra wide theme is more functional than default. But I think it need a bit of "air" on the sides.

      Anyway, good job.

Extra wide is better, but the whole site seems slower to me. Plus, ability to turn off background image.

        AND WHERE IS MY AVATAR?!?!?!?!?!

Well, I can't say I approve of the new forum skin, but I do appreciate the work you and Jeroen have put into the site. So...

          Hail Jeroen!

VB4! Finally! Wow! I can't believe we got an upgrade!
I'll never forget MarkG saying he wouldn't upgrade the forum to VB3 because there was too much to upgrade, so I can only thank you for your courage and commitment.
Now please fix the white text on orange background please.
            And backups!

              What he said.

Style-wise: I find it bad for the eyes if you have a generally dark/black theme, then suddenly large white blocks in between (from quotes, also the quick-reply field). Also the orange on buttons looks a bit too 'aggressive' for my taste. Just saying

Well done Apolyton team. There are undoubtedly some issues to deal with to get the site looking right for the majority of members (I'm afraid I have to agree with the general critique of the visuals) but I guess this is a small issue (work wise) compared with the migration itself. The new look might take a while to get used to but it does look much more professional and up to date. Should stand Apolyton in good stead!

Well done, and thank you very much team. A good result overall, from my first impressions.

My complaint (in addition to the dark colours) is that when the background image is off and I'm using a "blank" background, the background is not blank but in fact a motion sickness inducing diagonal striped wallpaper. I'd prefer blank please.

OK, so extra wide and no background - check!

I have to admit when I first saw it I thought it was a bit of a train wreck, so thanks for fixing those things. Also appreciate all the hard work - cos it can't be much fun putting a lot of effort in only for everyone to jump on your back and scream that they hate it!

Also, I happen to like white text on black and all the orange. If you can't win the World Cup - at least you get to plaster a forum with orange!!!
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

                      ah... you found them

yes, people: even though certain vinegar-based lifeforms had almost made me take a holiday from apolyton for an indefinite period, I have added two new skins; still dark and orange, stop bugging me about that: message received and maybe, MAYBE, if there are no more negativistos ranting on without any decorum and politeness, I might continue work on that other skin that has been in development all along. These new skins allow you to turn off the background image cycles for both the normal as the flexible width design.

As with all skins, you can select the skin you want in your personal profile here

Very nice. Just keep in mind that the large background image makes scrolling very jittery on some computers, if not most.

(That is however easily fixed if you have some sort of adblocker installed)

The style without bg pic and with flexible width is much better

Flexi width and no background is good

I'd like to point out that all of those that had Life subscriptions to Poly could do with the post limiter (30 second one) from being disabled...we did pay for it, after all...the ads as well shouldn't be there, but that can be dealt with.

I will correct this, but... what ads? There are no ads anywhere, unless you mean the buy CivV ad
