  • Forum almost never showme new post. Cookies trouble?

Hi. It's complicated to describe this in the title (as you see )

Amost every time I enter the forum I see all the threads marked as "readed". But it's not true. Can it be a cookies trouble?

The confused part is: sometimes this not happen

I use Opera as navigator, but I haven't problems in any forum (phpBB o vBulletin)

Thans, and sorry for my horrible english

Maybe you use different domains to get to this site? ie. apolyton.net, apolyton.com, civilizationIV.net?

No, I use a bookmark pointing to www.apolyton.com

Last night I enter and it show me the unreaded threads with bold font, but today I see all as readed

I enter right now with IE and I see the same. But probably because I am naviganting the forum with Opera (even when I visit the spanish forum with IE and I don't gone with Opera yet). I'll try later with other navigator.

I' m really confused because it happens only in Poly.

      Thanks

Yes. I want to enter with IE (then Godzilla, Chrome, Safari and so) directly to see what happens, but always forgot it and log in with Opera

Your read/unread marks may differ from browser to browser. What you read with MSIE will be unread with other browsers, etc. Maybe that makes a difference?

You don't experience it with other forums? THey are also vbulletin browsers?

The only other vBulletin forum I navigate is Civfanatics, and there I have no problems.

Again, I enter here directly with Opera and forgot to try with other navigator

I just remeber to enter with IE8 and I see the non-visited threads bolded. Maybe a coincidence, because with Opera sometimes I see it too.

                  I don't understand.

                    Still strange things

Now I enter with IE8 again and yes, I see bold the unreaded threads.... more: even THIS thread where the last post was the mine

But yesterday I logged and mark "remeber me", however I need to login again today. More, to post here I need to login again.

                    Is my PC haunted?

Sorry for the triple post. I just enter with Godzilla Fire-fox and the same: every thread appears as read, but the truth is I don't read it. And, as with IE, when I click to post, I need to login again.

No, but I post from a psychiatric clinic

I don't know what happen with my PC but everything happens in Poly only

Anyway, this week I get the W7 final (I'm still using W7 RTM) so, maybe format --> goodbye problems

I think that all threads that you DID NOT read during your last session are marked as 'read' when you start a new session. Thus only those threads that contain new posts will be marked as unread.

it doesn't always work perfect, as far as I'm concerned.

Right now, I enter with Opera and I see the threads with "news" bolded. I don't know what happen, but it appears to be my problem only

I'm thinking is something in my PC because yesterday I navigated a pictures forum and suddently the history was "cleaned", I mean, the pics I have seen appear as not seen. My prime suspect: TuneUp utilities 2010 in Turbo Mode.
