Come on, guys. This is a serious concern, and we'd appreciate some dialogue if you're looking at inviting Dale back- something you have not denied.


A response of "We are not going to be a part of this debate. We care about the future of Apolyton" might as well have been pitched as "Why do you hate freedom?" Are you suggesting that wanting to discuss the issue equates to not caring about the future of this site?

Personally, I think death threats are pretty much unforgivable even if the guy makes decent mods. In any event he's not coming back now because they've picked up their marbles and went to play in their own sand box.

Letting Dale back now basically screams that Plumpy and the other guy think that death threats are acceptable against certain people.

I am of the opinion that any death threats should equal a permaban, no questions asked, so I would have to be against the unbanning.

One would think that they'd be more conserned with Dale's abuse of his authority rather than his juvenile attempt to be threatening, Krill. That act would seem more worthy of keeping the ban in place than anything. The whole situation says more about Ming's stewardship of this forum though as he was the one that let that drama carry on for as long as it did because of his free fire policy on so-called super trolls and insipid reluctance to ban offenders.

You see, I tend to take harassment and threats of real-life violence rather more seriously than deleting text on an internet forum. I think it's because I still have a sense of proportion and understand what actually matters in life.
