Member Profiles: In Full Working Order?

Two things that I've noticed that seem to be not complete.

1. On my User Profile there's a spot for my "Friend List". It currently shows no friends. Now, I see this, and I think: "Wow, what a loser I am.", but when I click on the list it brings me to my "Contacts" and I realize how popular I really am, boosting my spirits. Shouldn't my "Friend List" on my User Profile contain my "Contacts" so I don't have to ride a rollercoaster of emotions?

2. On my User Profile there's "Group Memberships" - Ummmm, is this supposed to be like CivGroups? If so, please populate my list!

So, what's the deal?

We aren't using all vB3.7/3.8 features, but some have stuff in the profile. (I.e social groups which is the group membership. The plan is to have that either integrated with civgroups, or just remove it, but It's a low priority. And friends is stronger than contacts. I'm not sure if it's enabled or not, but if it is friendship requires confirmation, whereas adding a contact does not.)
