    Is there any vBulletin code for this forum software that allows tabs to be retained plus wraps text?

    I've had to use the CODE tag for this thread for the changelog but as you can see cuz it doesn't wrap it causes width problems. QUOTE doesn't work as it doesn't retain tabs.

    CivFanatics is fine if I use the CODE tag.

    * Religion/Immigration changes:
    * Immigration threshold increase percent 10% (from 25%). This slows down cross requirement growth.
    * Docks hurry costs have a set maximum (based on game speed, normal = 2000).

    * REF changes (increased start size, reduced growth rate)
    * Tripled size of starting REF.
    * REF threshold increase percent 20% (from 10%). This slows down REF growth.
    * REF threshold start 150 (from 75).
    * Added iKingUnitThresholdPercent xml tag to Civ4HandicapInfos.xml and implemented. This allows the REF increases to be modified by an XML edit. This will currently be left at 100% (normal), until further testing can be done to determine appropriate levels. Increases base incremental percent (10%) by fraction of (value/100).
    * Added iKingUnitIncreaseCap xml tag to Civ4HandicapInfos.xml and implemented. This allows the setting of a cap on the number of units added each REF growth based on game difficulty. Pilgrim has 1 set so only a maximum of 1 unit will be added each REF growth. Revolutionary has 20 set so only a maximum of 20 units will be added each REF growth.
    * Added iKingGoldThresholdPercent xml tag to Civ4HandicapInfos.xml and implemented. This allows the REF to change due to paying King money demands to be modified per difficulty (default == 50). This effects the REF threshold, rising it in relation to the amount of gold given to the King. This slows REF growth by kissing his pinky.
    * Units on the way to, or in Europe get intercepted by the King when you declare independance.
    * Rebel sentiment now calculated on total city population (not total population).

    * Colonists can now join cities after moving (like founding cities). Does not include outside jobs such as scout, military, pioneer, missionary.
    * Can now set profession after moving (like clear profession).

    * Wagon trains can no longer be loaded onto ships.
    * Ship costs and stats re-aligned for better balance
    * Cannon no longer has +100% colony attack.
    * Interface changes:
    * Warnings: Out of raw good for processing warning.
    * Warnings: Almost out of space warning.
    * Other changes:
    * Can't declare war against another European Civ for the first 20 turns.
    * European horses tripled in price.
    * European tools tripled in price.
    * European muskets very expensive (but still able to profit from natives early in game).

      Does this wrap the text? That would really surprise me, since code should only be wrapped were it says so.

      Anyway, I would do the formating manually with tabs and spaces, or with HTML. Alternatively, you could try the list tag.

        At CFC, the code tag places it in a scrollable window. So yeah, it does work (though wrapping is not needed as the containing element scrolls up-down and left-right).

        I'd like to use a single tag, as it makes it simple to maintain between all forums. Using a list tag would require many of them as I have nested lists in the changelog.

          This is how the exact same codes look at CFC to the Poly one linked above: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=304017

          Is this just another case of superior VB3 over Poly's version?

            Their Christmas style is really ugly. Anyway, it has a vertical and a horizontal scroll bar, in our new forum we just have a horizontal scroll bar, which is a little uncomfortably, given by this long text in quote tags. You cannot scroll right in the middle of the text.

            Probably, but then I just would wait for our new forum.

              Feels good to rub it in, doesn't it?

              Our code tag is yet another feature added on manually. So yeah, it has its share of things that don't work.

                Well this is sort of fixed now the new forum is in.

                There still an issue that there should be a vertical scroll bar for extra long code posts. The AoD thread I posted above now has horizontal scroll, but no vertical scroll. Makes it hard to move right halfway through the text.

                    Perhaps we need a dedicated 'Changelog' tag (not to mention the 'Spoiler' tag). That should put us back in the front in terms of tech

                            This is just weird now.

                            As soon I as I type: [ q ] test [ /q ] and post it, it just posts it normal in-line.

                            test

                            But when I go to edit it, it fixes...

                              Edit: Ahhh. You need to re-load the page for it to be quoted..so it's a bug.
