...It took me 2 hours to get past a "server is busy" page. I would click and see this thread and attempt to post, then be kicked from the forums.

Hopefully these issues should be gone now. the reason for today's slowdowns were partly related by measures taken to combat the crashes immediately, and onging software upgrades for addressing the root of the problem.

            Poly has time zone problems.

Your post appears as 04:16 AM in January, my local time.

            Problem is, it's only 2AM...

Have you checked if the timezone in your profile is correct? You and I are in the same time zone but all posts are appearing fine for me. At the bottom of the page under forum jump, does it say that all times are GMT +2 for you?

I checked my timezone in my profile. It is in there correct (East Coast US). But I see a timezone that is +7 from me (I guess that is +2 overall?) Anyhow, Solver, TRY CHANGING your timezone in YOUR profile and see what happens.

Damnit. The forum just changed width (wide style) and now I have to scroll horizontally. Couldn't you all figure this out better before hand?

Changing the timezone in my profile works exactly as expected... I set it to +5 instead of +2 and now the times are three hours off my local time. You have to check that the "All times are GMT..." text at the bottom actually matches what your profile says, too, so it's not just the profile showing up wrongly or not updating.

                      1. Solver, I just tested -10, -5, 0, +5 and +10 time zones. Each time, the profile did update properly in terms of the information at the bottom. Also each timezone shift changed the post time by 5 hours in direction expected. However the times were consistenly 5 hours in the future.

                      2. It is annoying that after saving options, I am shifted out of options. For instance, if I'm doing what I just did, I have to keep reopening that page. It is very reasonable that someone might be playing with options and want that page kept open.

                      3. I have now selected my time zone as -10, Hawaii (5 off from my true time) to compensate for the bug on the forums that has it 5 hours in the future. This means the posts will display properly, but anyone looking at my local time will see the incorrect time.

                      4. Thank you for testing changes to the time in your profile. If possible, please log out of admin mode and view it as a user (try non Poly plus). Check some different updated time zones and see how display works now.

                      5. Multiple people are having this problem. If you know of any people who are seeing proper time in user mode, let me know.

Okay, this is weird. I got the same issue as you (profile and bottom of the page match but times are 5 hours in the future) after viewing the board with a regular user account. Seems like people with admin/mod/staff status don't get the issue as none of them have posted about it internally yet. I checked your account and Siro's account and can't see any substantial difference in account setting and options, aside from the usergroup. I re-applied vB's time options in the admin panel but that doesn't help.

Can any other regular users report anything?

Solver, Siro was seeing a plus 2 delta and is (I think in GMTplus 2). I'm in -5GMT and seeing a plus 5 delta. I think somehow something with the actual clocked time on the computer or the users location somehow is having an impact. Would think he would be seing minus 2, so not sure what is going on there. But then you say you are in plus 2 and you get 5 hours in future.

Maybe have Siro double check his experience? It can be easy to mix up the local time of the user with the time on the post itself.

Yeah, I see +5 hours with my normal user account... anyhow, would be good if someone else could confirm what they see.

BTW, for my posts, are you seeing the "local time" field correctly? For this post it should say about 03:46, or seven hours ahead of your actual local time. We need Gramphos to the rescue!

EDIT: Gramphos, I've checked Siro's and TCO's accounts directly via mysql, their timezoneoffset fields do get stored correctly as per their profiles, so it's a display issue apparently...

you are at 0349. I checked multiple times and "local time" is properly updated and displayed. If you check mine, you should see 1549, but that is because I am now using Hawaill location as a work around for the post time bug.
