  • Mods are lazy

Guys, the BtSDG has hit a problem, one of the teams has died. We are trying to repopulate the team with new players from other forums etc, but we need the mods to accept them into the team but it's happening too slowly and the other players are starting to get pissed off. I've tried doing this via PM, but no one has replied to me in 2 days, so now I'm forced to not do this in a civil manner behind closed doors.

Can I please be given mod powers in the BtSDG forum, so you lot don't have to worry about it. I'm not playing in that game, I just have access to all of the forums already as the game historian. I don't really want to have to do this publically but seeing as none of the mods are paying this problem the attention that those invoved in the game think it deserve I'm the only person already involved with the game who knows what needs to be done.

    ATTENTION. THIS IS A COUP.
    Slippery slope! Be careful!

Like I want to be classed as a mod; it's not a slippery slope it's a cliffedge dropping me into servitude.

And that's the problem, those players want the issue solved asap, abnd you'd prefer to wait two days to think about it.

In tIhe mods defense,I don't think its an issue of laziness, its an issue of time. Too many things to do and to little time to do it.

In Krills defense, he could do this for us in that forum, and it would be less for the global mods to worry about, and give the kind of response thats necessary for this sort of thing in a Demogame environment. Where if the game doesn't keep moving, you unfortunately lose interest fast.

Im not sure the mini mod has the l33t powrZ that Krill is looking for. And Im not sure that the mods can limit full mod powRZ to a single sub forum.

In either case Krill I would suggest a subtler approach or your mod approval won't happen. And we could use that at the BtS Demogame............

I sometimes wonder why I keep coming back here...... I love it when the post button gets stuck or whatever, and I can spam with an excuse

I doubt the best way to win over the mods to giving you mod power is to call them lazy from the start...

OK then, replace the word lazy with busy, change the tone of my post from pissed off to sucking up, and make it sound like I want to help out the mods by offering to take over the chore that is moderating a demogame forum by accepting each teams abuse instead of the real mods getting it in teh neck.

                      Happy now?

It's too late. The mods simply can't give in to your request, as it would set a precedent that insulting them gets you what you want. Their only option now is a perma-ban to make an example.

Anything to do with actual Civ playing is likely to get short shrift on this site at the moment.
