Bleck, fixed -- the link had an extra letter in there. (This error was in this thread but not on the PC site.)

What do I care about your suffering? Pain, even agony, is no more than information before the senses, data fed to the computer of the mind. The lesson is simple: you have received the information, now act on it. Take control of the input and you shall become master of the output.

Ahhhh yes -- the 7 "thumbs up" followed by 3 "thumbs down". Now I see.

Willing to elaborate on your score, Lancer?

Sure! You discussed in depth only 2 of my threads. There were at least 5 or 6 others you competely ignored!

Just joking. I was on my period yesterday, but really 7 isn't bad. Ten doesn't happen in this universe, so nine is really ten, that makes 8 super good and 7 not bad at all.

Rejoice in your seven, become one with the seven, BE the seven, because next time could be 6.

The three thumbs down come from agreeing about everything. You need to have someone on who is honestly contrary by nature and will at least contend with some of your pronouncements.

So if someone suggests in the Civ IV forum that archers should be able to fly on the first turn after an autosave and you give the idea one of your self assured somewhat complacent "No" dismissals, than there's someone who will call you on it. A defender of stupid ideas if you will. Yup, you should have Wiglaf on once in a while.

                        Wiglaf

Or, appoint someone as episode 41 'Defender of Stupid Ideas' to give everything a chance. The Defender could PM the guy with the stupid idea, tell him DQ is planning on dismissing it outright and ask him what the hell he was thinking and so come up with a viable defense. Hmmm, Imran comes to mind.

Particularly with Locutus gone the PolyCast is a tad too comfy and fuzzy. The Beast who hates Christmas was an asset.

Rah wasn't too comfy or fuzzy, but spot on. I liked when Imran caught him on the tech thing though. Crap, now I can't remember the tech they were on about.

Shiva, you should put in for Defender.

Will listen to it in the morning... too drunk right now.
Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila
