Have you tried just downloading the mp3 file and playing it in media player?

Actually, the best part about this show was that it was hosted by See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, and Evil.

            It's a good first episode.

The show's got potential, the hosts were good. I think I'm going to listen to this reguraly.

The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.

I really enjoyed this episode. That said, I sort of zoned out during the Civ III discussion. I know there's a group that still plays/mods the thing, but for me, Civ III died the day I realized that Scientific Great Leaders didn't work properly.

Oh, and when I saw that multiplayer didnt work the way it should.

And that whole Submarine DoW fiasco.

And the way cities would just flip without warning.

And...oh, never mind, you get the point. Anyway, the point of all this is that it's cool to include non Civ IV stuff, but I am not personally interested in Civ III stuff. Like I'd rather hear stuff about GalCiv, even, just b/c I will actually play that again in future versus Civ III, which I doubt I ever will again.

Anyway, good first episode, and I'm looking forward to hearing more!

DQ is far from the worst offender in this here at Poly.
I was responding to a criticism here that is not constructive. The "Run along now" was only in the context of the MC/PC discussion threads given what Etchy had said and how he said it. That said, I can appreciate the view that that line on my part may have gone just a bit too far. In fact, I have gone one step further and have edited that part of my reply out in acceptance of that position. What I said in the first paragraph contains the points I wanted to get across.

I am now the first to admit that in past I have not responded well to constructive criticism and I regret those times. I can't change them. But I can and now recognize and appreciate that constructive criticism is beneficial to all parties (even though at times it's possible I misinterpret constructive points for not). You're right that people don't like being talked to down, Lancer -- myself included. My fellow co-hosts included. Modders included. That's what Etchy did; such criticism just for criticism's sake is not helpful and is in fact unhelpful.

Etchy, if you have constructive criticism about MC/PC by all means please share... it's from that which could only serve to improve the show. There's no "rule" about criticism being constructive but such criticism should yield results that all parties can welcome.

Are those titles listed in the order that Wouter listed the hosts in his opening post?

The first step in change is recognising the need to change.

I already have changed. I am commenting on the more distant past as the original point I replied to was not constructive.

In any event, I think we can all move on and re-focus the discussion on the episode (and MC in general) itself.

Good show! And I really like the new color schemes for PC/MC. It really stands out on an otherwise rather cluttered and boring frontpage.
