The ApolyCon forum was archived (finally) -- should have been done some time ago as it was for an event in July '06 and the last content update for it was last March. Better late than never...

You started to take this thread off-topic on something that you have gone on and on about in the past, personifying a thing in the process by talking about if it "were a person" and you would have "murdered" it by now. My saying "get a life by now" echoed the "by now" part of your statement and "get a life... " reflected how you've gone on about this before with no constructive use while observing it was not intended to be a personal 'attack'. Then you went off-topic again and escalated it to using profanity. You, and only you, have been out of line from the start here.

Now to answer the original question of LS. Polycon was the culmination of months of effort by Chris62 and at the end Dan and Marcos did a walk through and got some stuff on the carpet at Firaxis they can't get out.

What's needed first and foremost is a group of individuals in the community to come forward to serve as Committee members. These individuals would do as I and others on '06's Committee did: planning, organizing, negotiating, marketing etc. the event.
I put out such a public call before and we had one person volunteer to look after the finances. I would be pleased to see a new, complete Committee formed and start working on something; if it were to be sometime this summer, it needs to get going in earnest. Work, family and other Poly commitments will prevent me from serving on any next Committee but if the event were held in July or August of a year again it's a reasonable possibility I could attend (and would like to do so besides).PolyCast Co-Host, Owner and Producer: entertaining | informing civ

That's because the powers that be were far too wise to fold it back into the OT when folding it back into the OT would actually have served a purpose. Now a whole robust community of story tellers are gone, and the OT isn't looking so robust either. The good news? If you post a story on S&D it definately won't sink.
Divide and conquer is usually supposed to be done to the other guy. But! I'm just a pain in the posterior that says inconvenient things.
