So... how about making a feature that if a newly created poster starts a thread with the word sale in the topic in different sub-forums the topics will automatically be deleted and the account will automatically be closed?

Which is why I said "in different sub-forums", by which I mean if a new poster posts several threads in several sub-forums and they all contains words like "sale" in the topic title, then I'd say there's a very high probability that it's just an ad-botOriginally posted by DanQ

We have other tools in place to stop spambots. The occasional one will still slip through but it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. We may introduce other methods in the future but preferably ones that are a bit more sophisticated than what you propose. We'll never be able to eliminate the problem entirely anyway, but that's what moderators are for
