If so, what could possibly explain teh existence of teh :desire: smiley? Surely it's more suited for a pr0n site? And calling it "desire" just adds insult to teh injury to my fragile and sensitive morality

Ahh, I see. So you don't think that TCO's "CHOO CHOO" was over analyzing? Hmm. What do you think he meant by his "CHOO CHOO"? I think we need to analyze that. A sound commonly made by a train, but why here? He might have said 'MOO', a cow noise. Yet there is no train nor cow.
Regarding LS, he's hell bound for dissing the praying smiley, yes?

But whatever it is, imo, it does not capture 'desire'.
I think if teh head (I mean teh one with teh eyes) in teh smiley is made to look like that of an attractive woman, it would capture 'desire' rather nicely.

I call bs. Your own avatar is giving reach-arounds.
I'm consitently stupid- Japher I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Astute observations, to be sure. It would appear however that the inclusion of the phrase "CHOO CHOO" was a reference to LS' avatar featuring a conga line of bananas. This avatar and the decision by TCO to reference it have many possible meanings for us.
First, the train/conga line image, especially when used with bananas seems to reference the Chiquita Brands International (formerly United Fruit Company) company via their mascot, "Miss Chiquita Banana". In turn this could be interpreted as a condemnation of the policies of United Fruit over the last century including bribery and "neo-colonialism".
A contrary supposition based on the initial poster's fascination with bananas could be that LS' avatar is in fact a demonstration of support for the policies of United Fruit, arguing perhaps that human misery and economic exploitation are justified if it results in getting cheap, high quality and tasty bananas to the United States.
Whether TCO's comment is in support or opposition to LS remains to be proven. By emphasizing the "train" aspect of the avatar through his quotation of its "CHOO CHOO" tag line, he may be taking a dim view of United Fruit, accusing them of running over competition and indigenous interests like a freight train. Or perhaps a reference to United Fruit's ownership of railroads in Central America.
Finally, an alternate rationale focuses on the avatar itself. The banana figures appear to be traveling somewhere yet never seem to reach their destination. No doubt a post-modern critique of our empty, materialist culture. The uniform happy expressions bring a stronger indictment of the rampant conformity in our society.
A fascinating subject that deserves closer examination to be sure.
