The PolyCast team wants your input! Below is one of a number of polls asking for the Civ community's opinion on a number of elements related to this, the official podcast of Apolyton Civilization Site (ACS) on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of its series announcement and release of its first episode.

This topic is: Favourite Co-Host (Guest)
Your choices are: [see here; listened in order of (first) appearance]

Feedback received on this topic, others and their accompanying time-limited polls will be taken into consideration for further refinement to PolyCast in the weeks and months ahead as those who make it a reality keep on Civin' with you.

Very difficult to choose here, as I REMEMBER hearing Solver, Jon, Methos, Barry, Blake, & Elhoim. I voted for Jon for the info he provided, despite the horrific sound quality (due to tech difficulties, such as his computer fan). I listened to parts of that 2-3 times to try to glean stuff from it.

I listen partly for the informational aspect of the content. Therefore Solver (for his pre-3.13 unofficial patch), any Firaxian, & Blake .... BTW, is Bhruic going to be on in the near future (nudge, nudge)?

I didn't forget -- Soren was an interviewee only, not a guest co-host. His interview was structured at a length that was/is comparable to curtsibling, Rhye and Greg Hildebrandt.

I remember that quote of his and also "where to place cities... just look at the board, moron!"

It's a very tough call particularly if you've listened to most if not all of the episodes that each has been on (IMO).

For me, Thomas van Kooten is the obvious choice. Once you have heard van Kooten, you simply do not settle for anything less. I've been having trouble listening to anything that isn't his voice for some time now.

Wow, talk about a tough decision! Especially when we can only pick one! Too bad this couldn't have been a multiple choice, as there are several I really liked.

It's a very personal poll as what "favourite" means to one person, including how they define it, can be different from one person to another let alone what their answer is.

I realize that one may agree with this and say this poll is still "mean" regardless , but the intent is to make a single choice and/or argue why (as you can vote, comment, both or -- of course -- do neither). There is no right or wrong answer; for example, why one person says one co-host is their favourite out of this set may be the very reason why that co-host is the least favourite of another.

I believe what makes this poll tough is just that: you have to make a choice and one choice only.

To me, to make this poll mean it would have had to ask "who is your least favourite..." particularly if you could also choose only one person from the list. That is an example of a poll that we would not sanction.

Would we be talking about ourselves in the third person?

Nope, it wasn't me. I voted for Ken.

You can be as lawlerly as you like it's still mean.

Despite the fact you can infer virtually the same information from your 'non-mean' poll!
