  • In memory of Chaos Theory

I had an idea to check, where did Chaos Theory go, as he mentioned being very sick last time I talked with him on ICQ.
I thought I misunderstood him saying that he's dying.
Now, I did this little google search for 'Brian Blaha' (his RL name).

    And found this:

Now, it has been some time since this has happened, but I'd like to devote this little thread to him.
He was always interesting to talk with, being very intelligent and analytical. His analysis and treatises were always top read for me and other people who knew him. He will be remembered for many things, amongst them pitched SMACX PBEM and TCP/IP battles and his participation in ACDG3 as the leader of Gaian team.

        RIP fellow Centaurian

P.S. Dose Apolyton have any kind of memorial section or roster ware passed away members can be listed/eulogized. It would also be a good idea if any future PM's to the account were auto-responded with an appropriate message and link said memorial.

First off, thank you bT for following up on this: too many times a person in our community drifts away and nobody realizes why. You took the time to look into this, and to let us know what happened to CT.

Chaos Theory was a good friend to the AC Community, and was a fun and excellent player to PBEM with. His work as an AC Scenario Designer was most excellent - I always looked forward to his Solstice Challenges, and his Belated Winter Solstice Challenge 2005 will always be one of my favorite scenarios. I think tonight when I get home from work I'll fire up AC one more time and play this scenario, and think of all the good conversations he and I had over the years. You will be missed, CT.

            Thanks BinT.

I wondered what had happened to Chaos Theory.

But I am really saddened by this news. He was an excellent smacx player and I enjoyed the few Pbem games we played.

Chaos Theory played in the 'Here there be Pirates' AC game right up until 30 May 07.

And then apologised saying he had been laid up with pneumonia.

            RIP friend.

It's customary to have an automatic HoF induction - I'm sure Paddy will oblige when he sees this.

I didn't really know him, but i would like to say, R.I.P.

I agree that Chaos Theory should get an automatic HOF induction.

                  RIP CT.

His posts showed a real scientific attitude towards the game.

As some others have already said in this thread, I did not know Chaos Theory. I knew of him and am pleased that others had the opportunity to get to know him to some extent. His last post on our forums was strikingly direct on what was happening to him. He knew all too well.

Rest in peace, Brian. You were taken far too young and far too painfully.

Private forum? I don't get it.

                          This is very tragic.
