Title inflation at Apolyton: 40 deities, 250 emperors...

I mean what the hell is going on here? Does anyone remember the Guild of Emperors? That was when MarkG was short before becoming the first deity and there were just about 10-15 emperors.

There was a time when I was on page 2 of the top posters, now I'm on a mere page 4, though stable.

Opinions?

There was a time when I was on page 1 as well (now at the bottom of page 3). But then there were < 10000 posters, so I've actually got up in percent of the top posters.

More members => More posters => More top-posters

It's really no surprise...
The requirement for specific "titles" have not changed.
So each day just means more post for everybody. The site has been around for a long time now, and people who have been here for a long time naturally have more posts.

And by the way, MarkG was not the first Deity

I, of all, have become a deity. Once that was something I knew I'd never become. Just proves that with enough time, anyone can become it. I'm #36 on the top posters list now.

I think the expanded number of posters with "high" titles is simply a reflection of the long term health of this site...nothing more.
