  • E-mail notificiation is broken?

I’ve recently started getting lots of “Apolyton-spam”. 20+ e-mails a day or more saying that “such-and-such” has applied an a thread. Even though it tells me that I won’t get another e-mail until I visit the forum, there are half a dozen messages relating to the same thread.

What’s even stranger is that I am getting lots of e-mails saying that another post has been made to the “Solver review” thread and yet, when I link to it, there is nothing new there.

Is this a general forum problem?

I´m not sure about the technical side of eMal notifications (I never ever subscribe to threads),
but could it be that you got the eMails for the solver-thread because someone edited his postings?

I am also getting multiple messages about repleis to the "Solver's review" thread, but only that one. It's gotten to the point that I've turned off the "notify me" option in my profile.

Same here. Most of them (repeated five times each) from
        Shrapnel 12.

And I did not subscribed the thread.

        Best regards,

It's not broken, but yes it does appear to be malfunctioning.

          This will be looked into.

Broken is a synonym for malfunction

broken things are harder to fix, and when fixed will not be as good as it was before. malfunctions are just problems that can be fixed.

I will expand by saying broken as in not functioning at all, whereas malfunction is functioning but not fully and/or improperly.

I'm getting this also. It's pretty annoying.

I’m probably too lazy with titles. By people at least understood what I meant even if “malfunction” would have been a more precise term to use.

Are all the mails recieved in duplicate the same mails, or are they different, but for the same thread?

I haven't noticed this problem occurring in a few days now.

                            Anyone else?

                              It seems sorted.
