I was sent an extremely offensive pm by a poster on this forum, what I can do about it? There is no feature to report pms.

It is against the Privacy policy to share that PM with anyone, so it could just be a ploy.
Therefore, you must just sit back and take it.

Well, the rules don't allow us to verbally abused in public. But when it's taken to pms, what are we to do? I haven't responded to it but am completely shocked by tone and the vulgar words used. It also seems that pms aren't censored.

Is poly different from the rest of the internet, or from the rest of the world?
If someone sends you a personal letter, and it directly relates to a third party, and the person either A. Did not request privacy or B. Was egregious in their abusiveness, etc, its generally considered reasonable to share it with a third party. On the other hand, that does not imply making a thousand copies and posting them on bulletin boards all over town. Nor does it imply the right to forward it to even one person with the intent of being malicious.
Sometimes the questions in here make me wonder how people manage to function in the real world.
