  • Another "2 threads per day limit" Thread

There are certain months in the year, such as February and September, when couples seem to take unusual interest in each other. As a result, there are unusually high numbers of birthdays in months like November and June. This places undue constraints on the posting abilities of those wishing to recognise these birthdays in a public manner. I move to have birthday threads hereby excluded from the aforementioned "2 threads per day limit."

    Thank you.

I'm sure that even you are able to combine several people's birthdays into one thread

And make them feel inadequate and inferior for not having their own birthday threads?

you know... you don't have to create all the birthday threads yourself.

The only thing worse than having to share a birthday thread with someone else is not having a birthday thread at all.

Is there a documented instance of 3 birthday threads having been created, with one being deleted? My guess would be no.

Oh, I break the rule all the time with no adverse consequences. I posted this more out of concern for lesser mortals.

(it wouldn't be as good an idea as getting people to STOP POSTING THOSE BIRTHDAY THREADS ALREADY, though)

I think we should get rid of the number of threads limit and maximum of 500 posts per thread rules. We aren't running on a 386 any more

I think Colon's thread proves precisely why we DO need a 500 post limit And the two-thread limit was never created for performance issues

Well I think that the picture thread is slightly violating that rule
