I really wish this were true, but its simply TOO good to be true and I estimate 90% probability of April fools joke here. I would recommend that people actually start perusing this as a goal if it is a joke, it might prove prophetic. In a merged site you would be able to get the best of both sites.

If this is true - It is a way too good joke not to publish today

If this is a genuine April fool's joke - then I'm in awe.
Really well done with a spoofsite, same joke on two big sites and all. (And maybe a small test to how both sites users react to the joke)

I think it's almost certainly a joke. First, CivJunction is a really lame name, and second CFC would never try to get people to pay for GotM.

I just thought of one thing - maybe this is not a joke, but a test. That is, if the response to this idea is positive from both the forums, then they may actually go ahead with it, and humiliate the naysayers, but if it is negative, they can always claim it was an April Fool's joke. It's a win-win for the administrators of both sites.

True. In fact, that's the prime (CFC going paid for the very things that made it so successful) reason I'm sceptical about this.
