firefox problem

When I use the apostrophe in a text window (either the normal reply, or quick reply), it brings up the find feature of firefox. How do I get rid of this? I remember having this problem before, and do not know I corrected it. It is annoying not being able to use contractions. . Is it an apolyton problem, or a problem with my broswer?

Wrong FF option, it shouldn't come up if you're in a text window. Might be a frakup on the part of some extension.

Anyhow, go to about:config and find accessibility.typeaheadfind.flashBar and make it be 1 if it's set to 0 or another value, see if that fixes the issue.
