Well I tested it and it really works quite well.

only it tends to freeze my system, so I uninstalled it.

Perhaps its the combination of a NAT router, a super sturdy firewall, and some odd firefox settings, that simply couldn't face yet another something routing my information.

I do think there is a difference between looking at a attractive girl, and looking at porn. And I am not suggesting nude threads (although there is also a difference between looking at a naked woman and looking at what you would generally find under porn).

I don't know what looking at attractive women has to do with porn, if I never wanted to look at an attractive woman again I would go hide in monastary or volunteer for owl shifts at the accelerator for the next year.

I don't want to claim that watching babes or porn is bad (though I think that surely the latter is)

Nobody can deny though that the male hormons are being activated by watching babe threads. Nobody can deny either that these threads have the purpose to do so.

And eventhough watching babes isn't the same as watching porn, they are parts of the same league. They all have to do with getting excited about the beauty of women.

I don't want to condemn that.
I just ask, why does that have to happen on apolyton? Why? It's happening everywhere, why does it have to happen here?

That's not the issue. The issue is that I don't want to be busy restraining myself all day.
I'm very able to not eat 2 cakes every day, but I just don't want to have cakes ready on my table all day long tempting me to take it. Even when I'm very able to restrain myself, it's still not a pleasure to have to do so all the time.

And that's the problem of the current time.
The world is one big cake.
I just ask, is it really nessecary that apolyton is a part of that cake?

CyberShy is right. Scantily clad women are all over the public space these days, and some find it way over the top and a major source of annoyance - regardless of whether they would rather be without the "temptations", or whether they (like my humble self) just find the whole thing too much and frankly see little beauty in what is nowadays considered by a majority (?) to be the ultimate in good-looking females. Most of them are hidious on the scale of something the cat just brought in.

Anyway, since these "babes" occupy such an excessive part of our common public space already, I see no good reason to have them introduced also here at Apolyton, a place which to many of us serves as a highly valued breathing space in an otherwise stressful world derived of much of its natural charm.

Women posing for pictures suitable for posting in so-called babe threads and the ideals of beauty they supposedly represent are about as phony as you can get, and in my opinion we're in no urgent need of more phonyness at Apolyton. There's plenty of it out there in the "real" world.

Besides, the whole babe thread-movement reeks of severely hormone-laden puberty, which I would've thought most of us had gotten over by now.
