How about just getting rid of the java chatroom software?

I'm not sure we'll ever register that particular piece of software -- why pay for something if there are perfectly good free alternatives?

Finding, implementing and testing some of these alternatives is a relatively time-consuming project though. It's definitely on my to-do list, but it may be a while before I get to it.

Until then, just use mIRC, it's far superior to any Java client anyway...
