I hate to say it, but with wikipedia and other access to information, I have less reason to ask questions in the history forum. I am meaning to ask a question about the dark ages, but I can find a lot of info on wiki. I know it can be biased with more recent events. But with more historical events, the bias seems less. Not as many people have a grudge against Ghenghis Khan as they do George Bush even though the former killed and raped a lot more people.Comment

You have to take wikipedia with a pinch of salt though. Whenever I look at areas I am well informed on I realise that some technical material on there is written by enthusiastic amateurs.Comment

I think History Forum should stay. The problem is it doesn't give +1s, so lots of history stuff is discussed in OT, as it used to be - more people will read it there, and people aren't used to History Forum"I realise I hold the key to freedom,
