I would prefer not to start downloading a video each time I open a thread. I (and many others) don't have unlimited downloads. Those poor people who still use dial-up also suffer enough already.

It doesn't download automatically; the video just shows up as an empty box, and you need to click it to play.

By the way, for those who don´t know, it´s possible to block youtube videos using the "flashblock" firefox extension.

It's already possible. When you look at the video on YouTube, there's a box labelled "embed" with the HTML code to embed the video in your post. Just paste the code.

I wanted to test this out, and wanted to be clever and choose an appropriate video, so I searched for "apolyton" and found the Ages of Man videos, and tried to find the embed code, only to find that "Embedding [was] disabled by request."
